I have been getting that error a lot lately. the problem is i just recently restored my pc and i am attempting to reinstall SQL server 2005 again on my pc. now i’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it like you said except i was gettin this error during the installation:
“The SQL Server service failed to start. For more information, see the SQL Server Books Online topics, ‘How to: View SQL Server 2005 Setup Log Files’ and ‘Starting SQL Server Manually.’”
after the install finished i still wouldn’t have SQL installed but it would appear on the Add/Remove programs list. any ideas?
