Antivirus 2009 is a new anti-spyware program in the same family as Antivirus 2008, call it a cousin of Antivirus 2008, that sounds much better.
How does it get into your computer? Well through websites that deceive you that your computer is infected by a malware. If you fall in the trap, the Antivirus 2009 is installed into your computer and automatically starts to scan your computer and lists a variety of fake infections that antivirus 2008 claims can’t be removed unless you buy the removal kit.

Note: the infection is not real. This is just a tactic to scare you into buying the software. You give them money, the malware is still in your computer. Then you buy it again and again and again… they take your money and you are stuck!

Download Malwarebytes remover, install it in your computer, update the software to make sure you have the latest definitions, then ran a full system scan.

Once the scan is complete, check all the infected files and remove them. If prompted to restart the computer do so. And you are home free.
