Don’t you hate Personal Anti virus malware? Personal Anti virus is an anti-spyware tool designed make you pay for its registered commercial software for removing anti virus.

All you need to know or may I say care about.
Personal Anti virus is not capable of removing any actual infections because it’s not as a legitimate anti virus engine, therefore do not pay for it.

On the other hand, do not ignore it.
Ignoring Personal Anti virus in your system will soon turn into a major system disruption and further malware invasion which could result in getting on your personal files–violating your privacy.

I recommend that you remove Personal Antivirus As soon as possible.

How do you do that?

Here:

Download: Ad-Aware Free Anti-Malware – from Lavasoft
Install it, and scan your entire system.

After the scan is complete:
Download: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Install it, and do a full system scan.

Download: Microsoft® Windows® Malicious Software
Download and do a full scan.

Antivirus 2009 is a new anti-spyware program in the same family as Antivirus 2008, call it a cousin of Antivirus 2008, that sounds much better.
How does it get into your computer? Well through websites that deceive you that your computer is infected by a malware. If you fall in the trap, the Antivirus 2009 is installed into your computer and automatically starts to scan your computer and lists a variety of fake infections that antivirus 2008 claims can’t be removed unless you buy the removal kit.

Note: the infection is not real. This is just a tactic to scare you into buying the software. You give them money, the malware is still in your computer. Then you buy it again and again and again… they take your money and you are stuck!
The good news, BMAN is here for you.

Tools to remove antivirus 2009
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

Download Malwarebytes remover, install it in your computer, update the software to make sure you have the latest definitions, then ran a full system scan.

Once the scan is complete, check all the infected files and remove them. If prompted to restart the computer do so. And you are home free.

Fiber optic cable has many advantages over copper cable.

Fiber Benefits:

Long distance signal/ Data transmission. Fiber transmits data much faster over longer distances than copper. Why? Because single-line, voice-grade copper systems longer than a couple of kilometers require in-line signal repeaters for satisfactory performance, while Fiber optics cables can stretch hundreds if miles with no active or passive processing.

Large bandwidth, light weight, and small diameter (Cable Size) Fiber cable is smaller in diameter and weighs less than its copper counterpart, making it ideal for a variety of cabling solutions and practically saving valuable space.

Long lengths: Long, continuous lengths also provide advantages for installers and end-users. Small diameters make it practical to manufacture and install much longer lengths than for metallic cables. Long lengths make optical cable installation much easier and less expensive.

Non-conductivity/ INTERFERENCE: Fiber optics are immune to RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) making them ideal for applications where close proximity to electronic devices can cause RFI and EMI disruption, because optical fiber has no metallic components—dielectric nature.

Security: Unlike metallic-based systems, the dielectric nature of optical fiber makes it impossible to remotely detect the signal being transmitted within the cable. The signal in a fiber can, however, can be “tapped” by bending the fiber and detecting light that then leaks from its core. The resistance to remote signal interception makes fiber attractive to governmental bodies, banks, and others with security concerns. With that said, note that fiber optic cables are generally non-flammable, virtually unable to be tapped, and are better suited for data and illumination transmission.

POWER CONSUMPTION: Fiber optic cabling uses less power and provides less signal degradation than copper cables do.

With that said, please note that these are some of the advantages of Fiber optic cables some of which you automatically get when you have FiOS.

HOW FIBER OPTIC CABLES ARE MADE:

Have you seen the recent TV ad from Comcast making fun of Verizon FiOS and claimed the cable TV company (Comcast) has a larger fiber-optic network? I bet you have. Well how true this claim is, you wonder? And if you have Comcast should you wait if your TV is freezing or you are experiencing slow internet connections?

Comcast service is not going to change, it will only get worse. Why? Comcast has and will always use coaxial cable to connect homes. It is a big investment they made and to change it, well it will take years. On the other hand Comcast claim of having a fiber-optic network is TRUE–Comcast does have a fiber-optic network further away in the network, as it has for many years. Besides Comcast, Cablevision, Time Warner Cable, Cox and Charter have all run ads belittling FiOS, but on the other hand they have forgotten that Verizon is the little giant! Verizon FiOs offers higher Internet speeds and better picture quality, my take and according to Consumer Report.
Cable is dead! It is old technology, and fiber-optic is the future. Comcast spokeswoman Jennifer Khoury said “picture doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the network technology” she continues to add “Our ads reinforce the value and scope of our fiber network to our customers,” she said, adding that the fact that Verizon uses fiber to the home makes little difference to the services it can provide.” PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW.
Jennifer Khoury Continues “Comcast has started upgrading its network to provide FiOS-like speeds in 20 percent of its markets this year.” This statement by itself convicts Comcast. It proves that Comcast network is inferior and it is slower than Verizon’s network despite the fact that they are claiming they are better on their ads. What a shame!

FACT! Fiber optic lines from the cable companies’ end at neighborhood nodes, where the signal is transferred to a coaxial cable shared among as many as 500 households. The shared nature of the coaxial network and its susceptibility to electrical noise limits its capacity.
Verizon’s FiOS network also shares capacity, but among fewer households. The Optical fiber itself has virtually unlimited data capacity.

Charter, Time Warner Cable Inc, Cablevision, Cox Communications, have all claimed to have some sort of “fiber-optic” network, but only one company offers that straight to your home–Verizon.
A lot remain to be seen from these cable companies, but one thing I know for sure one of these cable companies will belly up if they don’t focus on the future and improve their customer service. Please watch the Video below.
Verizon is a better company, both in service and products that is my take, is Verizon offering real fiber-optics network, yes, is Verizon better that the other cable companies, yes, is Verizon more responsive to it’s customers most of the times and better than the cable companies, yes; that is my take, the verdict is yours?

When using Microsoft Office 2003 or older you might have trouble opening documents created using Microsoft 2007. Earlier versions supported are from 2000-2003.

If you have a .docx, .docm, .dotx,.dotm, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xltx, .xltm, .xlsb, .xlam, .pptx, .ppam, .potx, .potm, or .pptm file, or any attachment in your email inbox but you do not have Office 2007 you will not be able to open the file, but don’t despair because Microsoft has a solution to open any of these extensions for free.

The .xlsx files is the default extension for spreadsheets, .docx for Microsoft word and .pptx for power point written in Microsoft Office 2007. The format is currently not support by GMail attachment viewer or any of the online office suites like Google Docs.

However, you can easily convert .xlsx spreadsheet to the traditional .xls format using the Microsoft Office FileFormatConverters. This will help you open, edit, and save .xlsx files in Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003.

The new office 2007 extensions are:

There are many blogs that have come out to criticize Google’s response to Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of yahoo. Techcruch for example claims that Google response meant that Google is afraid of Microsoft. I beg to differ.

Microsoft and Yahoo have both tried to build web search and Ad platforms with little or no success. Combine two bad ideas or ideas that have not worked and you make one hell of mess. This is where Microsoft/Yahoo—“MicroHoo” are headed. The combination of these two companies means one thing—disaster.

Google’s response was for one reason; to let Microsoft know that Google is watching Microsoft moves, period. If I were in Google’s shoes, I would do the same thing, and so would any other company out there.

Think about this for second, when email was a big thing, where did everyone go for their email accounts, and to do their web searches, Yahoo and Microsoft, today not any more. Google has provided a simple platform for everyone, from email to web searches. In addition Google has made it possible for people money online with Google Adsense. When did Microsoft help you make money? Probably never I suppose and if Microsoft has, it must have been following Google’s footsteps, and the same applies to Yahoo. I bet you’ve heard small sites like whateverlife making a killing every month, who is behind all this, Microsoft or Yahoo, I don’t think so.

It is also true to say that Microsoft/Yahoo will definitely lessen web competition. It does not take a genius to figure that out. 3-1=2 and 2 is not equal to 3. Yahoo being eliminated from the web arena means one less company competing on the web arena. Even with small startups coming to play in the web field to fill the number three slot, we still have one less company on the arena.

I quote Techcrunch “One argument against the deal is that there will be fewer [less] opportunities for startups to be bought out with Yahoo out of the picture. That is true…” do I need to say more?

Microsoft has great online applications but very few people use them, because they are not as good as Google’s. This is the reason; drones of online enthusiasts are migrating to Google, including me. I bet that you even have a Gmail account. Why? It is simple to use, cleaner than either Microsoft or Yahoo’s emails. Think about this for a second. Microsoft has @live.com, @msn.com, @hotmail.com. Isn’t this insane…

Ask any accountant they will tell you that mergers and acquisitions are very difficult to accomplish because of culture clash and this is what Microsoft/Yahoo will be facing if and when this deal gets to go through. Microsoft and Yahoo are two different companies, with different cultures and to make matters worse they have been enemies for a while, competing with each other in different fronts. For Yahoo employees, the scars are still there even if the wounds have healed. This will be one big hurdle that Microsoft/Yahoo have to over come.

Google is king, and Google has been a great innovator. Microsoft on the other hand has slacked off and has for years stolen what other companies have built, and the same applies here. Look at what Microsoft did to hotmail. It’s just a fact, Microsoft will destroy Yahoo’s brand name just as it once did with hotmail and other companies it has acquired.

Last but important, economists claim that markets dominated by one company see stagnation in growth and lack innovation, but the web is just the opposite. If Google was the only company on the web, no such misfortunes will incur. The web is still young and there is tons of innovation to be done, and lot’s of new ways to innovate. Google’s motto “Do no evil” ….you get the picture. Microsoft/Yahoo deal is not healthy deal and it should not be allowed to happen. It is simply a bad bad idea.

MSFT

YHOO

GOOG

Sources are saying that Yahoo is likely to consider a business alliance with Google Inc as one way to reject Microsoft’s take over plan. At $31 a share, Yahoo believes the bid undervalues the company. Yahoo is thinking of revisiting talks it had held with Google several months as an alternative to Microsoft’s bid.

According to a memo obtained by Reuters on Sunday, Yahoo leaders wrote: “We want to emphasize that absolutely no decisions have been made — and, despite what some people have tried to suggest, there’s certainly no integration process underway.”
The Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site on Sunday that Google’s chief executive Eric Schmidt called Yahoo’s chief executive Jerry Yang to offer his company’s help in an effort to thwart Microsoft’s bid.
Google fired back on Sunday at Microsoft’s bid to acquire Yahoo, accusing Microsoft of seeking to extend its computer software monopoly deeper into the Internet area.

David Drummond, Google chief legal officer, aid in a blog post that the combination of Microsoft and Yahoo could undermine competition on the Web and called on SEC to challenge the combination.

Microsoft responded to Google’s arguments by saying that a merger with Yahoo would create a “compelling number two competitor for Internet search and online advertising” to market leader Google. See: googleblog.blogspot.com/.

Microsoft executives said Google – not Microsoft – was the one company antitrust regulators were likely to bar from buying Yahoo, based on Google’s dominance in Web search.

Google currently owns 75 percent share of worldwide Web search revenue. Collectively, Yahoo and Microsoft attract around 20. Let’s see what happens, stocks to watch: Oh just a by the way, And where the hell is News Corp? They are not interested, that’s it. Come on, who are they kidding? I bet you the week won’t end before they jump in.

Amazon announced earlier today that their at some point this year. I bet Apple is now more than ever shaking—apple better get your act together. This deal makes Amazon more of a contender against Apple’s iTunes.

Glory days are here finally. I have always been praying and waiting for the day to finally come. What day? A day when I will be able to burn several copies of music on a CD without any restriction, and today although it is not that day, it marks the beginning of that day.

Last year when Amazon MP3 launched and I bet Apple downplayed it as paddle boat iTunes’ ocean. But with the signing of Sony BMG, and the fact that Amazon is the only retailer selling DRM-free music from all four major music labels—apple better be scared.

Amazon offering a DRM-free music download service will be a killer to Apples iTunes, well not yet—but I bet that is Amazons intentions. To add an insult, Amazon is taking the combat zone international.

Amazon has not give a specific date on its press release when the international downloads will be available.

Bill Carr, Amazon.com Vice President of Digital Music said:

“We have received thousands of e-mails from Amazon customers around the world asking us when we will make Amazon MP3 available outside of the U.S. They can’t wait to choose from the biggest selection of high-quality, low-priced DRM-free MP3 music downloads which play on virtually any music device they own today or will own in the future. We are excited to tell those customers today that Amazon MP3 is going international this year.”

How many emails….thousands I guess, but now it will only get worse because for fellows like me I want to know when…”Bill, you will be getting an email from me you can count on that”

Let’s wait and see Apples move. Who’s got the big GUNS?
